Sea Line Shawl
Sea Line Shawl is a crescent shaped shawl worked from the neck outwards. Its deep curve allows the shawl to hang freely on your shoulders and no fall down.
Sizes: Small (red version) and large (blue version)
Directions for 2 sizes are given – small DK [large fingering], approx.. 50 [62] " / 126 [157.5] cm across the neck edge and 16.5 [18]" / 42 [46] cm from neck to bottom. The size can be adjusted following the notes section.
Materials
Yarn:
Small - DK 350 yards / 320 m large - fingering 500 yards / 457 m
Small red shawl. Katia Bolero (54% cotton 46% polyester, 137 yards per 50 gram skein) in shade 14 (cotton). Any other DK weight yarn can be also used. 3 skeins.
Large blue shawl. Malabrigo Sock Yarn (100% Merino, 440 yards per 100 gram skein) in “Aguas”. 1 skein.
You can decide your own adventure by alternating the charts.
Needles
4.5 mm / US 7 [4 mm / US 6] 80 or 100 cm [32" or 40"] circular needle
Notions
Stitch markers (I use them to keep track of every repeat plus 2 for the border stitches)
Tapestry needle.
Scrap yarn and a hook to work the garter tab (optional)
Gauge
Gauge is not crucial in this pattern.
