Hola knitters!
I hope you are well.
Welcome to my new blog, Pastor Knits.

You know I love knitting and making things, but here’s something you might not know: for me, knitting is so much more than yarn and needles. It’s about finding a few moments of peace and possibility in the chaos of the everyday.
When I pick up my knitting, I’m not just making a hat or a shawl, I’m making space for joy, for connection, and sometimes even for a little self-discovery. Each stitch is a reminder that slow, small work can grow into something beautiful and meaningful.
Maybe you knit to relax, to keep your hands busy, to connect to someone you love, or maybe you’re just curious what all the fuss is about. Whatever brings you here, I want you to know you’re welcome. Whether you’re untangling your first skein or you’ve been knitting before Instagram existed, there’s room for you at Pastor Knits.
This blog is a place for stories, encouragement, and - of course - helpful tips and practical making guidance. I believe in community over competition, elevating each other, and creating things that make life just a little warmer. Respect and love are requirements to enter this space.
As I embark on this new adventure to turn my love for knitting (and sometimes crochet!) my goal is to share everything I learn, the wins and the mistakes. I want this to be a space that inspires you, supports your creative journey, and helps you see that your hands can make wonderful things, maybe even a new future for yourself!
Over the next few weeks, I’ll be talking about choosing the right projects, and keeping track of them. If you’ve ever thought, “Could I really do this?” the answer is YES.
Thank you for joining me at the start. Bring your yarn, your questions, your dreams, and let’s see what we can stitch together.
With needles (and beautiful yarn) in hand,
Nuria
